Overview

UF Concerts, short for Unfiltered Concerts, is a live music and cultural venture by Unfiltered by Samdish. I was commissioned to design the logo and extended the work into a complete visual identity system, digital language, and YouTube motion assets in 2024.

Context

India’s live music ecosystem is crowded with generic promoters and over designed festival brands. Audiences expect authenticity, cultural relevance, and credibility. As an extension of a trusted media voice, UF Concerts needed to feel rooted, bold, and culturally fluent.

The Problem

There was no existing visual language to differentiate UF Concerts from mainstream concert promoters. The challenge was to avoid both corporate polish and casual chaos, while creating a system flexible enough to support artists, venues, and high frequency content.

Objective

The goal was to establish UF Concerts as a credible yet expressive platform for live music. The brand needed to feel raw, opinionated, and contemporary, while remaining scalable across digital, physical merchandise, and motion driven YouTube environments.

Design Strategy

UF Concerts operates in the middle ground between seriousness and play. The identity embraces imperfection, texture, and cultural noise, reflecting the energy of live music and indie scenes, while staying structured enough to command trust and recognition.

Logo System

The logo combines a circular “uf.” mark with a bold condensed wordmark. Built on a strict grid, it balances modularity with impact. The circular form anchors the system, enabling consistent alignment, flexible layouts, and clear recognition across formats.



Visual Identity System

A teal anchored palette references the parent Unfiltered brand, expanded with high energy yellows, oranges, and purples. Typography sits between casual and formal. Grids, noise, halftones, and raw textures form a system that feels alive and tactile.


Social And Digital Presence

The identity translates seamlessly into social posts, event announcements, and YouTube assets. Structured layouts allow artwork to dominate, while consistent UI elements maintain recognition. The system supports rapid content output without visual dilution or fatigue.


Outcome

UF Concerts launched with a distinct, ownable identity that immediately felt established and credible. The system unified live events, digital content, and merchandise under one visual language, giving the venture clarity, confidence, and strong cultural recall.

Impact and Learnings

The project demonstrated the value of building systems, not just logos. A clear tonal position enabled faster content production and stronger audience trust. Designing for motion and culture first ensured the brand could grow without losing authenticity.
